Beyrevra are a band from Germany that plays a melodic mixture of black and death metal and this is a review of their album "Echoes: Vanished Lore Of Fire" which will be released in 2024 by Trollzorn Records.
Nature sounds start off the album along with some keyboards a few seconds later before going into more of a heavier and melodic direction. Spoken word parts can also be heard briefly while the vocals bring in a mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls and blast beats are also added into the faster sections of the songs.
Tremolo picking is also added into a lot of the faster riffing while the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style. Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with one song also adding in a brief use of acoustic guitars, all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them and some of the tracks are also long and epic in length.
Beyreva plays a musical style that takes the melodic forms of black and death metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover the oppression of mankind by religion and the church with some inspiration from historical events.
In my opinion Beyrevra are a very great sounding melodic mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of t hose musical genres, you should check out this band, RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Sentenced" "New Aeon Rising" "Fallen Sun" and "The Hermit's Torment". 8 out of 10.
