Stellar Blight are a band from Poland that plays a very melodic and blackened form of death metal with elements of traditional metal and this is a review of their 2025 album "EVENTIDE: Synod Of The Dying Stars" which will be released in June by Malignant Voices.
Clean playing starts off the album before going into a heavier direction while the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style. Vocals are a mixture of death metal growls and black metal screams along with some of the riffing also mixing in elements of thrash and traditional metal.
Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them. Saxophones and synths can also be heard briefly along with a small amount of blast beats also being utilized when the music finally speeds up, clean playing also returns on later songs. One track also adds in spoken words and most of the album sticks to a mid tempo direction as well as one song also being instrumental.
Steller Blight plays a style of blackened death metal that is very mid tempo and melodic sounding as well as adding in elements of traditional metal to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover darkness and death themes.
In my opinion Steller Blight are a very great sounding melodic blackened death metal band with elements of traditional metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Second Death" "Maggots In Awe" and "Weaponized Compassion". 8 out of 10.
