Shit Hexis are a duo Form Germany that plays a blackened mixture of sludge and doom emtal and this is a review of their self titled 2022 album which was released by Bleeding Heart Nihilist Productions.
A very slow, dark and heavy sound starts off the album while also introducing elements of doom and sludge metal onto the recording. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing along with the vocals being mostly high pitched black metal screams and all of t he musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them.
Distorted amp sound are also utilized quite a bit throughout the recording while on e of the tracks is also long and epic in length. Clear vocals can also be heard briefly along with the whole album also ticking to a very slow and heavy musical direction, one song also adds in a brief use of melodic guitar leads.
Shit Hexis plays a musical style that takes black, sludge and doom metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark and heavy while the lyrics are written in German and cover class struggle and alienation themes.
In my opinion Shit Hexis are a very great sounding mixture of black, sludge and doom metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Schleier" "Drel Krueze und eine Hand" and "Scherben". 8 out of 10.
