Embitterment are a solo project from the New England region of black, doom, death, thrash and speed metal and this is a review of his self released 2025 album "Demise Of The Elite".
A very thrash influenced sound starts off the album while also adding in a lot of touches speed metal. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing along with the vocals being a mixture of death metal growls and black metal screams and the solos and leads are done in more of a melodic early 80's metal style.
When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also be heard while all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them. Elements of doom metal are also added into the slower sections of the recording along with the songs also adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts, the whole album also sticks to a heavier direction.
Embitterment goes back to the 80's and 90's era of melodic black, doom, death, thrash and speed metal and mixes them together to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very old school while the lyric cover modern societal values.
In my opinion Embitterment are a very great sounding melodic mixture of black, doom, death, thrash and speed metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Demise Of The Elite" "Slay The Alpha" and "Mercenaries Of The Oligarchy". 8 out of 10.
