Syn Ze Sase Tri are a band from Romania that has been featured before in this zine and plays a very symphonic form of pagan black metal and this is a review of their 2022 album "Ultimal Lup" which will be released on September 30th by Code666 Records.
A very nature and tribal sounding orientated intro starts off the album along with a brief use of spoken word parts before going into a heavier direction. Symphonic sounds are also utilized quite a bit throughout the recording while the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style and the vocals are mostly grim black metal screams.
When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats and tremolo picking can be heard while the riffs also add in a lot of melody. Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the vocals also adding in a deep shouting style at times.
Acoustic guitars can also be heard briefly along with a couple of tracks also being long and epic in length as well as some clear vocals also being added into certain sections of the recording, battle chants, gothic choirs and operatic female vocals can also be heard briefly. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Ancient Dacian Legends.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Syn Ze Sase tri and if you are a fan of symphonic and pagan black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Hatri" "In Chip Hain" "Osanda procletenie" and "Negru". 8 out of 10.
