Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbiegi/Trzy Siostry/Devoted Art propaganda/2022 EP Review

 

   Poland's  Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbieg  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  continues  the  experimental  rock style  that  they  have  introduced  on  previous  releases  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2022  ep  "Trzy  Siostry"  which  will b e  released  in  June  by  Devoted  Art  Propaganda.

  Dark  sounding  synths  start  off  the  ep  along  with  some  programmed  beats  a  few  seconds  later  which  also  adds  in  touches  of  synth  pop  and  post  punk.  Most  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  while  the  vocals  are  done  in  mostly  a  clean  style  which  also  shows  an  influence  of  goth  rock. 

  Spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  briefly  while  bass  guitars  can  also  be  heard  at  times  while t he  music  also  has  its  experimental  moments.  All  of  the  tracks  also  sound  very  different  from  each  other  along  with  one  song  also  introducing  clean  guitars  onto  the  recording  and  Gregorian  chants  can  also b e  heard  briefly.

  On  this  recording  Wedrowcy-Tulacze -Zbieg  drop  all  metal  elements  and  goes  even  further  into  an  experimental  rock  direction.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while t he  lyrics  are  written  in  Polish  and  cover  philosophical  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbieg  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  experimental  rock,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "pierwsza_siostra".  8  out  of  10.

Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbiegi/Futurista/Devoted Art Propaganda/2021 Full Length Review

 

  Poland's  Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbiegi  have  returned  with  a new  recording  which  shows  the  music  continuing  to  move  away  from  the  experimental  style  of  black  metal  from  their  previous  releases  and  going  for  more  of  a  mixture  of  experimental  and post  punk  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2021  album  "Futurista"   which  will  be  released  on  April  23rd  by  Devoted  Art  Propaganda.

  A  very  dark  and  electronic  oriented  sound  starts  off  the  album  while  also  introducing  post  punk  style  synths  into  the  music  a  few  seconds  later.  The  clean  vocals  also  show  an  influence  of  goth  rock  along  with  the  music  also  getting  very  experimental  and  avant  garde  sounding  at  times  and  all  of  the  drum  beats  are  also  programmed.

  Guitar  riffs  and  leads  can  also  be  heard  in  some  parts  of  the  recording  while  spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  briefly  on  a  couple  of  tracks.  At  times  the  music  also  adds  in  touches  of  synthpop  and  new  wave  along  with  a  later  song  also  introducing  clean  playing  onto  the  album  as  well  as  a  couple  of  the  songs  also  being  long  and  epic  in  length.

  On  this  recording  Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbiegi   avoids  the  use  of  any  metal  influences  that  where  a  huge  part  of  previous  releases  and  goes  for  more  of  a  mixture  of  experimental  and  post  rock.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  futuristic  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbiegi   and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  experimental  and  post  punk,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "I'  "IV"  and  "VII".  8  out  of  10.

    Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbiegi  are  a  band  from  Poland  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording moves  away  from  their  metal  roots  and  goes  into  more  of  an  80's  era  new  wave  and  post  punk  direction and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2020  album  "Berliner  Vulkan"  which  will  be  released  in  June  by  Devoted  Art  Propaganda.

  Electronic  music  sounds  and  synths  start  off  the  album  while  all  of  the  drum  beats  are  also  programmed.  Goth  style  clean  vocals  are  also  a  very  huge  part  of  the  recording  while  spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  at  times  along  with  the  music  also  adding  in  some  elements  of  80's  era  synth  pop.

  The  music  also  avoids  the  use  of  electric  guitars,  black  metal  elements  and  heavier  riffs  that  where  a  part  of  their  earlier  recordings.  Clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  briefly  along  with  the  music  also  adding  in  a  great  amount  of  post  punk  influences  as  well  as  some  touches  of  industrial  also  being  utilized  at  times.

  On  this  Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbiegi   moves  away  from  the  metal  influences  of  pat  albums  and  goes  into  more  of  a  mixture  of  new  wave,  post  rock  and  electronic  music.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Polish  and  cover  dark  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbiegi and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  post  punk,  new  wave  and  electronic  music,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "I"  and  "IV".  8  out  of  10.

Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbiegi/Marynistyka Suchego Ladu/Devoted Art Propaganda/2019 Full Length Review

Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbiegi  are  a  band  from  Poland  that  started  out  as  more  of  an  experimental  black  metal  band  but  on  this  recording  have  evolved  into  more  of  an  experimental  rock/metal  style  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2019  album  "Marynistyka  Suchego  Ladu"  which  will  be  released  on  July  20th  by  Devoted  Art  Propaganda.



  Clean  playing  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  avant  garde  and  experimental  elements  also  being  used  at  times.  Clear  vocals  are  also  added  into  some  parts  of  the  music  as  well as  some  synths  also  being  used  in  some  parts  of  the  music  and  during  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  a  decent  amount  of  blast  beats  can  be  heard.



  At  times  the  vocals also  get  very  aggressive  as  well  as  adding  in  some  grim  sounding  black  metal  influences  into  some  parts  of  the  songs.  Psychedelic  elements  can  also  be  heard  at times  along  with  some  trombones  and  harmonicas  also  being  added  into  some  parts  of  the  music  and  spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording.

  All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  have  a  very  powerful  sound  as  well  as  one  track  also  introducing  whispered  vocals  into  the  album  and  some  tracks  also  show  influences  of  synthpop,  new  wave,  industrial,  post  punk  and  goth  rock.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Polish  and  cover  dark  thoughts  and  depression  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Wedrowcy-Tulacze-Zbiegi  are  a  very  great  sounding  experimental  rock/metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of   this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album. RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Starganiec"  "Sucha  Gora"  "Zelazo"  and  "Hoburgsgubbben  10104".  8  out  of  10.
