Embrace Of Disharmony are a band from Italy that has been featured before in this zine and on this recording plays an avant garde form of dark metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "De Rervm Natvra" which will be released in June by My Kingdom Music.
Dark sounding synths start off the album along with some spoken word parts also being used briefly which also gives the music more of a ritualistic feeling. At times the songs also mix the avant garde and heavy parts together along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them.
Clean male and female vocals can also be heard quite a bit throughout the recording while the music also has its symphonic and orchestra moments, When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very melodic style along with high pitched black metal screams also being added into some parts of the music.
During the faster sections of the songs a great amount of blast beats can be heard along with the songs also adding in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. At times the music also gets very progressive and experimental sounding as well a s a great portion of the tracks being very long and epic in length.
Elements of goth can also be heard on some of the tracks as well as some death metal growls also being used in some parts of the recording. Some songs also add in a small amount of stringed instruments and one track also introduces acoustic guitars onto the recording. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark, poetic and mythological themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Embrace Of Disharmony and if you are a fan of avant garde dark metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "De Primordiis Rervm" "De Mortalitale Animae" and "De Formatione Orbis". 8 out of 10.
