Infestus/Dresses Of Darkness/Club Inferno Ent/2017 EP Review

  Infestus  are  a  band  from  Venezuela  that  plays  a  vampiric  form  of  gothic  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review of  their  2017  ep  "Dresses  Of  Darkness" which  will  be  released  on  June  29th  by  Club  Inferno  Ent.

  Horror  movie  style  keyboards  start  off  the  ep  goes  into  more  of  a  heavier  and  melodic  direction  along  with  some  goth  elements  while  spoken  word  parts  and  clean  guitars  are  also  used  at  times  and  they also  give  the  songs  a  more  vampiric  edge  and  death  metal  growls  are  also  used  at  times.

  After  awhile  black  metal  screams  and goth  style  vocals  make  their  presence  known  and  the  music  also  adds  in  a  touch  of  atmospheric  doom  metal  and  when  guitar  leads a re utilized  they  are  done  in  a  very  melodic  fashion  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  small  amount  of  blast  beats  can  be  heard.

  Infestus  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  black  and  goth  metal  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  something  original,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  vampiric  and  goth  horror  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Infestus  are  a  very  great  sounding  gothic  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED TRACKS  INCLUDE  "My  Mournful  Charlotte"  and  "Blood  Matriarch".  8  out  of  10.
