Tele.S.Therion/Lunurumh/Hinthv Ritvvm [Riteet v ZHinthv]/Radical Matters/2020 Collaboration Album Review

This  is  a  review  of  another  collaboration  between  Italy's  Tele.S.Therion  and  Lunurmh  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  ritualistic  and  'acousmatic'  style  of  black  metal  and  the  album  was  originally  released  in  2020  and  called  "Hinthv  Ritvvm  [Riteet  v  ZHinthv]"  which  was  released  by  Radical  Matters.

Field  recordings  and  ritualistic  whispers  start  off  the  album  which  also  adds  in  a  touch  of  occult  black  metal,  Most  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  while  spoken  words  and  chants  are  also  utilized  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  recording  and  avant  garde  style  soundscapes  are  also  added  into  the  background.

At  times  the  vocals  also  get  very  demonic  sounding  while  one  song  also  introduces  elements  of  noise  onto  the  recording.  Bass  guitars  are  also  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  album  which  also  adds  in  slow  riffs  that  are  heavily  influenced  by  doom  emtal  along  with  the  album  also  having  its  experimental  moments,  each  track  also  sounds  very  different  from  each  other.  and  all  of  the  music  is  also  improvised  and  the  closing  song  also  adds  in  a  couple  of  minutes  of  silence.

On  this  recording  Tele.S.Therion  and  Lunurmh  take  black,  doom  metal,  noise,  experimental,  avant  garde  and  ritual  and  mix  them  together  to  create  a  very  diverse  recording.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  are  based  upon  Etruscan  and  Sumerian  Rituals.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  collaboration  between  Tele.S.Therion  and   Lunurmh  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  black,  doom  metal,  avant  garde,  experimental,  noise  and  ritual,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Maqlu  Surpu"  "Liber  Linteus"  and  "The  Etruscan  Liver".  8  out  of  10.

Apoplexy Interview

1. Can you give us an update on what's been going on with the band since then? recording and releasing a new album?

The recording of the album started before the pandemic, but due to the change of the rehearsal room and actually the studio, we had a one-year forced break. In the end, we managed to get new members from the old group into the recording, leaving only two members, Mário and Palo. Two other members, Brado and Kubo, helped us with the recording of the album and became full members of the group. We also had a friend invited to record the harpsichord, who helped us a lotand with whom I also worked on the arrangement.

2. In November, you released a new album, in which it differs musically from stuff you've released in the past?

Compared to the past, we went stylishly into black/death metal with a symphonic subtext and added clean vocals.

3. The band broke up more than 20 years ago, which was the cause breakup and also the decision to reform the band?

The breakup for the band was due to the family matters of all the members, and the impetus for the return of the group was the initiative of the main founder Mario Duga, who came up with a couple of musical ideas and in the end 10 songs came out of it :)

4. What are some of the lyrical themes and topics the band deals with? new edition and also how would you describe your progress as composers over the years?

The themes revolve around an existential approach to life, religious influences, biblical scenes or mystical themes.

5. What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Apoplexy'?

The group's name was invented by the late bassist Andrej Kohout, to whom this album was also dedicated as a memory. It expresses the medical concept of brain stroke, which for some pop-minded people this style of extremely tuned metal also expresses :)

6. Can you tell us a bit more about the artwork that is featured on the cover of the new album?

On the cover, the dark Lachesis is one of the three ancient antic judges who spun the thread of life and determined its length. The name of the album, destiny, is also connected with this

7. What are some of the best concerts the band has played so far and also? how would you describe your stage performance?

we haven't performed concerts in this line-up yet, but some concerts will be offered in the future.

8. Do you have any tour or concert plans for the new album?

Yes, we are working on a couple of concerts, we will see in the future, we would also like to play a couple of concerts with current Slovak groups that are on the scene.

9. The new album was released on HladoHlase, can you tell us something? more about this brand?

it is a book publishing house that also publishes music production. The main figure of this label is Pavol Baričak, who also has his own band and is also involved in Slovak death metal.

10. On a global level, how have fans reacted to your music? black, doom and death metal?

I think that the reactions are mostly positive, the group's name is well known in Slovakia, so we just followed up on our beginnings, even if we changed the style a little.

11. Are any of the band members currently involved in other groups or? music projects?

Yes, Brado and Kubo are members of the death metal band Mysterious Eclipse, which has also been on the music scene for a long time.

12. Where do you see the band going musically in the future?

everything is a question of the future, I certainly have new ideas that could lead to another new album :) which will again be in a slightly different spirit...let yourself be surprised

13. What are some bands or musical styles that have been influential? on your music and also what are you listening to at the moment?

nowadays I listen more to rock and heavy metal from black death, I like our friends bands Depresy, Dehydrated, Hypnos, Ramchat ...

14. Before we end this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

I'm glad that after years we managed to enter the metal scene again in today's connected music world of the Internet, we also posted the album on Spotify and Deezer and other servers... We are pleased with your response and support. Stay happy, healthy and satisfied...

Hudič Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what has bene going on with the band since the recording of the new album?

We played some shows to save up some money again after the recording and we created new merch for the album.... While doing that we also played in Germany which was very cool. We have met some nice people in the process of it all.

2.In 2024 you have a new album coming out, musically how does it differ from your previous ep?

We stepped it up a level, I think. The songs are harder and faster and with David on vocals it all sounds different, but he was the missing link that we were looking for.

3.This is also going to be your first release in 5 years, can you tell us a little bit more about what has been going on during that time frame?

We had some problems with the lineup and then covid had hit us... After that we started to get back on track slowly. When the lineup was stable again after Covid, we played quite some shows, mostly in Belgium and the Netherlands.

4.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the newer release?

Some of the lyrics are about ideas David had in his head for some time already and was now able to bring them to paper when joining Hudič. Topics range from losing the will to live, to some H.P. Lovecraft inspired mystical settings to desperate situations we or people around us are faced with. Some ideas also revolve around theological topics.

5.I know the band’s name means 'devil' in Slovenian, how does this name for in with the musical style that you play?

The name wasn’t chosen to go along with a lyrical concept, in the first place. The story behind it is, that the founding members attended a festival in Slovenia and because they came up with the idea to form the band there, they wanted a Slovenian name.

However, you can find similarities in the band’s name, the music, the live show, and the lyrics, which are all kept dark and somewhat nebulous.

6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new album cover?

We got kind of lucky with the artwork. We found an artist who designed it and since everyone liked it so much, we just decided to choose it for the album cover. There is really no big story behind it.

7.Out of all the shows the band has played so far, which one stands out the most?

Last December we had the huge honor to open for Mayhem at a sold out Muziekgieterij in Maastricht in the Netherlands, which is on top the list I would say.

8.Do you have any touring or show plans once the new album is released?

We want to play as much as we can to promote the new album and there will be some weekend tours that we are working on. And of course, we plan on making a release show for the album.

9.Currently you are unsigned, are you looking for a label or have received any interest?

We have received interest of a label named “cult of chaos” after our show with mayhem but until now we are still working hard on our own and we keep doing that until something comes along.

10.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of extreme metal?

Overall, we get good reactions, I like to think that is because we don’t hold on to one genre. There is something in there for everyone to enjoy, may it be death/doom/black/thrash/hardcore/melodic/....

11.What is going on with some of the other bands or musical projects these days that some of the band members are a part of?

Everyone is doing their best to play some gigs and have a good time.

For me and my other band we have been on tour this summer with thrash legends EvilDead which was really cool to be on the bus with those guys touring through Europe for 2 weeks.

12.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

Just growing overall, wish we could see where things are heading to... Now where would be the fun in that right?

13.What are some of the bands or musical styles the band members are currently listening to nowadays?

We all listen to most of the subgenres, bands like Exodus, Kalmah, Cannibal corpse, Lamb of god, Cradle of filth, Mayhem.... The list is just way to long…

Some of us also listen to other genres, like Rock, Pop or Classic. We try not to be limited by any genre borders.

14.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

We have been working hard on improving our live show with new light, smoke and lasers and fire to come out with a bang in 2024.

So don’t miss the opportunity to attend a Hudič show. Thanks to everyone out there supporting us and thank you for your interest in Hudič.

Tele.S.Therion/VERB.D.SVM C.S.T ARCON/Radical Matters/2023 Full Length Review

Italy's  Tele.S.Therion  has  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  them  expanding  on  their  acousmatic  style  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2023  album  "VERB.D.SVM  C.S.T  ARCON"  which  will  be  released  on  Halloween  by  Radical  Matters.

Dark  soundscapes  and  drones  start  off  the  album  while  also  adding  in  some  heavy  guitar  riffing  that  is  very  heavily  rooted  in  black  and  doom  metal.  At  times  the  music  also  gets  very  experimental  and  avant  garde  sounding  along  with  the  percussion  also  taking  the  recording  into  more  of  a  ritualistic  direction.

The  only  track  that  is  presented  on  this  recording  is  also  very  close  to  being  80  minutes  in  length  while  a  lot  of  the  music  also  sounds  improvised.  Trumpets,  trombones  and  daxophones  can  also  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording  along  with  the  distorted  guitar  amp  sounds  also  adding  in  touches  of  noise.

The  whole  album  also  sticks  to  an  instrumental  direction  along  with  the  music  also  getting  more  diverse  sounding  as  the  track  progresses.  At  times  the  music  also  captures  the  atmosphere  of  nightmares  and  violent  hallucinations  as  well  as  some  fast  drumming  and  blast beats  also  being  utilized  briefly  and  after  almost  an  hour  piano's  are  also  introduced  onto  the  recording,  a  small  amount  of  melody  can  also  be  heard  in  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  while  the  production  also  sounds  very  dark.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Tele.S.Therion  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  avant  garde,  experimental  and  ritualistic  black  and  doom  metal,  you  should  check  out  tihs  album.  8  out  of  10.

Gates Of Mourning/A Coronation Of Necromantic Dreams/2023 Full Length Review

Gates  Of  Mourning  are  a  solo  project  from  Florida  that  has  bene  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  melodic  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  self  released  2023  album  "A  Coronation  Of  Necromantic  Dreams".

Classic  movie  soundtrack  sounds  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  very  fast  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Melodies  are  also  added  into  a  lot  of  the  guitar  riffing  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

Death  metal  growls  can  also  be  heard  at  times  while  most  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  Most  of  the  music  is  also  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  classic  Swedish  style  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  the  solos  and  leads  also  being  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  when  they  are  utilized,  clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  briefly  and  some  of  the  slower  riffing  also  shows  an  influence  of  doom  metal.

On  this  recording  Gates  of  Mourning  remains  true  to  the  melodic  mixture  of  black  and  death metal  that  he  has  established  on  previous  releases.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  necromancy,  occultism  and  darkness  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  from  Gates  Of  Mourning  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  melodic  black  and  death  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Pleading  In  Shadows  Of  Eternity  Summoned  By  Stars"  and  "Treasures  In  the  Depths  Of  Fleshy  Tombs".  8  out  of  10.

Wizards Of Wiznan Interview

Can you give us an update on what is going on with the band these days?

Yes, of course, we are currently in a creative phase, working on new songs! As for upcoming shows, we have a few planned in the next months, abroad in Germany and Belgium but also in our area.

Recently you have released your first full length, musically how does it differ from your previous ep?

Our way of composing songs has been refined since the release of our EP. Musically “No Light Has No Shadow” is more intense and darker. We looked deep in our guts in order to best express it through our music. This album leans more towards the Sludge and Post Black style, unlike our EP which combined more Stoner and Doom influences.

A lot of the band members have also participated in black and death metal bands but with this group go for more of a blackened sludge metal direction, do you feel having a background playing different genres makes you music stand out a lot of more?

True, having musicians from different backgrounds allows us to explore more deeply and reach a wider range of listeners. It also helps us create atmospheres and textures blending different styles. We particularly received a lot of positive feedback regarding the mix between Black Metal and Sludge influences. This can create atmospheres that are both heavy and threatening, add to that nebulous melodies and you can build a sonic experience that envelops the listeners.

What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the newer music and also how would you describe your progress as songwriters over the years?

We drew inspiration from local history but also from human emotions. Concerning the local historical dimension, one event in particular touched us. It’s the annihilation of a local hamlet by the Black Death which ravaged our lands long ago. The hamlet in question was called “Le Végenand”, our band name is directly inspired by it as well as many of our lyrics. The themes of death and loss are very present in the album. Some songs are more focused on human suffering, depression and the specter of death that floats among the living.

Concerning our songwriting process, it has been refined over time. We learned to better combine our different musical influences, allowing us to create an immersive album that is more focused than our first EP. The latter was called “Experimental Brew” because at that time we were still in a discovering / experimental process. With 'No Light Has No Shadow', we worked more deeply on our musical approach and found a sound that more closely resembled our own. Working more regularly and assiduously has developed new skills in all the members.  The process is becoming more refined and more in tune with our respective experiences, enabling us to convey our condition as best we can and share an even more immersive and authentic experience with our audience.

Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new album cover?

The artwork on our album cover was created by the talented Inken Stabell whom we discovered on Instagram. You can see observe a silhouette standing in the immensity of the mountains that surrounds him. Alone in the middle of this desolate landscape, this silhouette symbolizes the doubts and the loneliness that we all sometimes have to face.

Out of all the shows the band has played so far, which one stands out the most?

Of course! One show in particular comes to mind. We played in August in the PALP Festival. It’s a festival in our area that is kind of specializing in the Stoner – Doom and Psychedelic Rock scene. It was an incredible experience for us, to be able to plan in this festival that we had been attending as spectators for several years. In addition, being able to play outdoors in the mountains makes it an almost mystical experience ahah!

Do you have any touring or show plans for the new album?

We haven’t currently planned a release party for the album. However, we will be performing the album as part of the “Argonauta Fest”, organized by our label Argonauta Records. The shows are scheduled on November 17th and 18th, respectively in Ghent (Belgium) and in Eisenhüttenstadt (Germany). We’re really looking forward to share the songs on stage with the public and our fellow friends from Argonauta Records.

On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black. sludge and doom metal?

It's not a simple question. It's clear that by mixing several influences, you expose yourself to a lot more criticism, positive or negative, from your audience. Above all, we want to offer something innovative, authentic and, above all, something that suits us. We regularly rub shoulders with all the different styles you mentioned, and I honestly think that people are receptive to this kind of concept. Personally, I'm extremely eclectic and I find this approach nourishing and enriching. But there's no doubt that for the purists, it's different, our style is less appreciated, but we're also aware that we can't please everyone. Overall, the feedback has been very positive about our choice of design, and we'll continue in this vein.

Recently one of the band members released a solo album under the name ' Félonie', can you tell us a little bit more about this solo project?

Yes! It’s the side-project of Marc, our rhythm guitarist and co-singer. Félonie is a one-man black metal band that he created at the end of 2022. To quote him:

“You know, the band songwriting process can be a bit tricky, it’s often a matter of compromise, especially when our respective horizons are so eclectic. Some guitar riffs were perhaps too much black metal or too many blast-beats for the direction we wanted to take with Wizards of Wiznan. I then said to myself, why not create a dedicated project for that kind of songs? And Félonie was born. It was also an great opportunity to bring music to some of my lyrics, all written in French. The album, named “De Sève et Sang” (Of Sap and Blood) draws inspiration from local history, tales and legends. Release date: October 13th through Aural Music / Code 666!”

Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

Following the latest discussions we've had, our aim is to preserve this richness and its influences. Apart from the styles mentioned in your questions, we still have a huge number of external influences that we could incorporate into our compositional process. I don't think we want to impose any limits on ourselves, but the guiding principle for the future is to continue to perfect our style and find an even more intense harmony in the conception of an album. We want to offer an even more immersive experience for the listener and develop a raw, violent and coherent style that allows the natural expression of our condition through our music.

What are some of the bands or musical styles the band members are listening to nowadays?

Here's a list of the current state of play:

-Gaerea, Colour Haze, Mantar, Aset, King Buffalo, Amelie Lens, Aorlac, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Sleep Token, Amenra, Amon Amarth, OM, Dissection, Alcest

That says a lot about the direction our compositions are going to take... We'll let you be the judge.

Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

To begin with, we'd like to thank you for the time and opportunity you've given us, and we're very grateful.

And to conclude, it's important for us to value our music and share it with everyone. It's through music that we transcend our condition and give the best version of ourselves.

Thank you.

Wizards Of Wiznan/No Light Has No Shadow/Argonauta Records/2023 Full Length Review

Wizards  Of  Wiznan  are  a  band  from  Switzerland  that  plays  a  mixture  of  black,  sludge  and  doom  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2023  album  "No  Light  Has  No  Shadow"  which  will  be  released  on  September  29th  by  Argonauta  Records.

Dark  sounding  synths  start  off  the  album  before  adding  in  more  of  an  atmospheric  stoner  rock  style  which  also  takes  the  music  into  a  heavier  direction.  Elements  of  sludge  and  doom  metal  can  also  be  heard  in  the  slower  sections  of  the  songs  while  the  vocals  bring  in  a  mixture  of  black  metal  screams  and  death  metal  growls.

All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  while  the  solos  and  leads  are  done  in  more  of  a  retro  proto  metal  style.  Clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording  along  with  most  of  the  tracks  also  being  very  long  and  epic  in  length,  clear  vocals  can  also  be  heard  on  a  couple  of  songs  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  small  amount  of  blast  beats  are  also  utilized.

Wizards  of  Wiznan  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  black,  doom,  death,  sludge  and  stoner  metal  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  a  dark  and  misanthropic  exploration  of  the  human  condition.

Old Ruins Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the band since the recording of the new album?

(Kraje)

A lot of things happened in that time because the recording was finished one year ago also in September.

We had no label at this time and decided to send our complete album to some labels to find out if anyone is interested in a deal with us.

And when we finally got the deal we knew that we have to be patient because of the long time period for a vinyl pressing.

So we had enough time to practice, play some shows and of course we already wrote some new songs in that time.

2.You have a new album coming out later in September, musically how does it differ from your previous ep?

(Kraje)

First of all this time we were in a professional studio.

The EP was recorded, mixed and mastered by myself.

So the sound is much fatter than on the EP.

Musically it is not so different. Four songs from the EP are also on our album, to complete the whole concept.

We always try out to give our songs something special, like a smooth guitar solo, or a part and style of riffing, you wouldn’t expect. And especially not in a black metal band.

So you can see the whole album as a story, lyrically and musically.

3.A lot of your lyrics cover the video game 'Diablo' can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in this game'?

(Kraje)

That’s right, we are all great fans of the diablo videogames.

In my youth the was it Diablo 2 – Lord of Destruction what captivated me and nowadays we are all play Diablo 4.

Maybe that sounds a little bit crazy, but this game influenced me for all of our lyrics.

The dark atmosphere of the game, the great story without an happy ending, the tragic…

Can it more perfect for a black metal band?

The lyrics on “Always Heading East” are about the Dark Wanderer and his tragic story in Diablo 2.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Old Ruins'?

(Kraje)

That’s a funny story

Our drummer Alex and our guitarist Ersin hang around to think about a band name and Alex was talking about Tyrael’s Sword Aldruin. (For those who knot know, Tyrael is a character from the videogame.)

And Aldruin sounds very similar to old ruins. So ersin asked him why he is talking about old ruins and our band name was born.

I think the name fits very good because a lot of scenes we describe in our songs, happening in old ruins our graves.

5.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new album cover?

(Kraje)

The Artwork is from the great German artist Timon Kokott.

He did our Artwork for the EP as well.

The Artwork shows the dark wanderer on his way through the desert and of course he is heading east as you can see.

Every time I look at this artwork I am travelling back in time when I first entered the second act of diablo 2.

That’s exactly the scene and there where so many scenes we had in mind for the album artwork, but this one is perfect.

If you don’t know him, check out Timon Kokott Artwork.

He is awesome

6.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?

(Kraje)

So imagine yourself you made a band with no plans to play live.

Only creating cool songs, record them and that’s it.

But our EP was very successful and so we got the chance to play as substitute on an open air event in July 2021. It was in the middle of the pandemic and so it was one of the first concerts after a long time.

Then this moment when we started the show

There were about 400 people on the place , and some of them wore our shirts.

And all that on our first live performance ever.

That was crazy

Our stage performance includes normally headbanging and some posing.

But not as wild as in a thrash band for example.

First of all we want to create a dark atmosphere and transmit it to the crowd

And of course we prefer to play tight and without great mistakes before acting like maniacs on stage.

7.Do you have any touring or show plans once the new album is released?

(Kraje)

Right now we have no plans for big tours but we still have a few shows left this year.

8.Cyrrently the band is signed to 'Doc Gator Records', can you tell us a little bit more about this label?

(Kraje)

Doc Gator Records is a Label from Switzerland.

When someone says Doc Gator Records is an underground label, then you should know that there is always the motto : quality before quantity.

They signed Bands from Brazil, Bulgaria, Wales, England, Canada, India, USA, Switzerland and at least Germany.

And that is what makes them very special.

They give bands like us a chance to spread the music all over the globe.

For me this is more than underground work.

9.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of extreme metal?

(Kraje)

Very different.

You know the old school black metal fans would say our music isn’t rough and fast enough.

Then you have these guys expecting nothing when they first heard our EP on Youtube, and later that day ,they bought it digital on bandcamp to support us.

Others are the same videogame freaks as we are, so they are totally hyped

10.What is going on with some of the other bands or musical projects these days that some of the band members are a part of?

(Kraje)

Right now there is only me playing in another Band

It’s called Smorrah and in this band I play bass and do some backing vocals.

We recorded our first album in the same studio we were with old ruins.

I told the guys about the awesome time in the studio and the awesome sound Michael creates.

At the Moment we are planning our release.

11.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

(Kraje)

I can’t say where we are going in the future.

When we start a song, we never now what journey we will go on.

Some new parts are very 90’s black metal and then there are some breaks that you would never expect.

The only thing that will stay is our lyrical inspiration about the videogame and everything else only the time will tell.

12.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

(Kraje)

Immortal and the Sideprojects from Abbath and Demonaz were big influence to me over the years. But there are a lot of other bands I prefer.

So on the one week I listen to iron maiden all the time, and the next week I listen to dissection.

13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have ant final words or thoughts?

(Kraje)

When I look back to the last 10 years ,

Never give up your dreams, there is always a way to reach what you are dreaming about.

And when you check out our Music…. Stay awhile…. and listen

Influences  of  doom  and  sludge  metal  can  also  be  heard  in  the  slower  sections  of  the  songs  while  spoken  word  parts  are  also  utilized  on  a  couple  of  songs.  Melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  the  riffing  also  capturing  the  brutality  and  heaviness  of  death  metal  and  one  of  the  tracks  is  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length,  growls  can  also  be  heard  briefly.

On  this  recording  Tides  Of  Sulfur  expands  on  the  grindcore  elements  while  also  stacking  the  the  blackened  sludge/death  metal  style  they  established  on  their  previous  release.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  the  darker  side  of  human  consciousness  and  experience.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Tides  of  Sulfur  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  black,  sludge,  doom,  death  emtal  and  grindcore,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Anxiety  Veteran"  "Disgruntled"  and  "Open  The  Vein".  8 out  of  10.
